I am writing to you to let you know the annual review period for the Universal Code of Conduct and Enforcement Guidelines is open now. You can make suggestions for changes through 3 February 2025. This is the first step of several to be taken for the annual review. Read more information and find a conversation to join on the UCoC page on Meta.
The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) is a global group dedicated to providing an equitable and consistent implementation of the UCoC. This annual review was planned and implemented by the U4C. For more information and the responsibilities of the U4C, you may review the U4C Charter.

This is a reminder that the first phase of the annual review period for the Universal Code of Conduct and Enforcement Guidelines will be closing soon. You can make suggestions for changes through the end of day, 3 February 2025. This is the first step of several to be taken for the annual review. After review of the feedback, proposals for updated text will be published on Meta in March for another round of community review.

Confirmed rights for User:Leaderbot
[编辑源代码]Hi, I run a bot called metawiki:Global reminder bot, which reminds users when their temporary rights are due to expire. It failed when running on this wiki today, as it tried to post a message to a user whose rights were expiring in a few days, but ended up with a captcha. With confirmed (or bot) rights, this issue is overridden, so having one of these two rights would be helpful. Please let me know if there are any other issues, and ping me in a response. 呼吁维基学院订立明确的收录标准
[编辑源代码]个案讨论请参见维基学院:页面存废讨论/记录/2025/01#中华人民共和国副省部级以上单位列表。
在上述个案讨论中，个别管理人员提出，“但这种我不认为是一种研究，谢谢。”“很抱歉我不认为梳理/整理资料一种研究”“另外我可不承认积累资料是一种研究”。这种说法荒谬在于——认定某一页面是否属于研究的标准既不是权威参考文献的解释、也不是方针指引，而是个别位高权重维基人的“我认为”。维基媒体项目的收录标准应当是由方针指引确定的，哪怕没有方针指引也应当引用权威文献的解释。
“学院人少方针指引也不完整”，不是管理人员口含天宪、口头立法的借口。如果缺乏方针指引，理应查找相应权威参考文献，通过友善探讨收录标准来推动社群建立相应的方针指引，而不是诉诸于私人缺乏明确标准的判断，更不是在一篇回复内两次扬言封禁他人。在这种状态下，其他维基人只要在页面存废讨论提出与管理人员相反的观点，就有遭到封禁的紧迫危险。这是不合理的局面。
因此，在此抛砖引玉，希望此事成为一个契机，使学院社群对收录标准问题能够形成一个明确、客观的标准，使页面存废讨论有章可循，谢谢各位。Patlabor Ingram（留言） 2025年2月26日 (三) 16:04 (UTC)

Final proposed modifications to the Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines and U4C Charter now posted
[编辑源代码]The proposed modifications to the Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines and the U4C Charter are now on Meta-wiki for community notice in advance of the voting period. This final draft was developed from the previous two rounds of community review. Community members will be able to vote on these modifications starting on 17 April 2025. The vote will close on 1 May 2025, and results will be announced no later than 12 May 2025. The U4C election period, starting with a call for candidates, will open immediately following the announcement of the review results. More information will be posted on the wiki page for the election soon.
Please be advised that this process will require more messages to be sent here over the next two months.
